Magic
Since the times when the
Gods battled high over the fertile lands of Jacmus-Prime, magic has been non-existent. The quintessence that fuels the various magic was brought to chaos as the celestial bodies of the
Gods and
Horsemen were slain, their essences coating the land, making it next to impossible for the creatures dwelling within the lands to grasp the weave.
It was once much an essential part of existence in the lands, yet people have learned to cope with it's disappearance over the years.
It's all about to change once more .......
Magic, one of the mostly revered and at the same time highly despised
abilities in the
Role-Play world.
Keep Powers and Magic Reasonable
It is recommended that you keep
powers and magic reasonable. Magic when used well can can make characters and plots spring to life with an unrivalled beauty. When misused or abused Magic can become a devastating tool and can ruin enjoyable
role play.
So out of respect for a fellow role-player, try to keep
powers and
magic to a reasonable level. Though it's hard to say when enough is enough, ask for feedback from your fellow
role-players. If you receive negative feedback as to the abilities of your character, perhaps it's time to go back to drawing board and see what your imagination can create.
Magic is a rare ability in Jacmus Prime.
The
God War left the quintessence of the land too chaotic for magic users to even fathom touching and manipulating. Magic was lost.
Ttwo hundred years after the
God War, the chaos is beginning to ebb, the world is beginning to change.
Tattoo Magic and
Gem Magics are gradually being introduced into
play.
Vampire,
Garou and other characters with more natural powers are slowly (of course at your own discretion) beginning to reappear.
A character -should not- wield magic on their own.
There are unique ways of touching the source of
magic. When role-playing consider spell preparation, whether your character requires ingredients for the spell to be successful or whether the magic requires the use of an object such as an
Artifact.
One of the aims of Jacmus-Prime is not to limit the imagination or creativity of the
player. Relying upon an honesty system the guidelines for magic and
Powers are loosely based and encourage responsible character development.
