Falls of Eternity

     Hidden in the fairy tales of children lie truths that many deny.  Once found or having existed these truths are now just stories told at bedtime or sung by the fire in a lonely inn.

     One Baird knew the truth, that the lyrics to his song flowed further than his lips. Old of age, more ancient than he looked and near to death he scribed the words of his song on a parchment and gave them to his only audience, another alcoholic in the hopes he would be remembered and that his song would be heard again.

    Melrose, the Queen of Mordor was not a fool and gladly accepted the wise words of the Baird, knowing that one day she would search out the truth in his song. Only those that were close to the Queen, new that her quest failed.

   This song found on a single parchment written by an ancient baird was given into the trust hands of Maximus Mason and may still lie buried somewhere in the Eruvasu.

    The parchment tells the tale of the Falls of Eternity, a body of water that stops the mortal body from aging.

    To drink from the falls does not grant immunity or invincibility. The drinker may feel rejuvenation or a second "youth" but it does not restore their youth, it only stops the aging process for a period of 7 years.

    The location of the falls is not widely known though rumours abound. Indeed the only hint of its location lies in the Baird's song cleverly disguised by riddle.  There are a few suggested facts about the Falls of Eternity that are passed down through fairy tales.  To partake of the water from the Falls of Eternity will:

  • provide 7 years where the mortal body will not age;

  • require a great sacrifice before one can indulge in the sweet waters;

  • age the body twice as fast after the 7 years are up if the water is not sipped once more;

  • not provide immortality or invincibility;

    It is also hinted in some tales, that the water cannot be taken from its source or bottled for later use, it must be consumed at the falls by the person who wishes to gain its advantage over life.

    Find where Maximus hid the parchment on Eruvasu and you will be granted access to the song.
