Barlaken


Description

 

    With their tall height ranging from seven to eight feet, Barlakens can be put under the giant category. A Barlaken's head is near as wide as the rest of their body (Around four feet), their jaws being the widest part for varying reasons. In addition, their heads are of a square like shape, the width lengthening to their shoulders instead of higher- causing htem to look like they had been slammed on the cranium. The chosen garment is usually skins of other animals, using their furs only to cover the necessities. Also, A Barlaken's hair is long, ragged, and of a darkened colour, often braided into dreadlocks.

     The physique of one of these beings is one of a muscular build, slightly retaining some speed with their long legs and arms, but for the most part built mianly for the power of traveling through the earth with laden ease and are lacking in their style of grace. Their skin is a hardened texture, much like a Hulk's but lesser to some degree, the need for it arising throughout evolution of their species due to the beating that must be tolerated from earth.

     A Barlaken's jaws are unique, able to unhinge itself and stretch out to swallow huge quantities of mass. THeir teeth is strongly fortified and could literally bite a human in half- that being their only way of tunneling underground. Due to the unusual ability, A Barlaken's speech is frequently slurred and many a times verily hard to understand- The preference in language being that of regular humans.Barlaken's mainly feed off of the nutrients provided in the soil and earth that is consumed, and also as a delicacy they can feed upon unsuspecting animals, creating a large hole beneath him and then swalloing them whole after a few munches.

     They can only hold so much waste in their inner bowels and can either choose to release them as they travel with each passing moment or hold them in. If held inlong enough, enough pressure and amount contained can be whenever released at a live target, damaing with the friction and impact- Mainly causing the victim to fall unconscious or at least dazed for a period of time, and can also cause a concussion to occur.

 

Combat


    The Barlakens are temperate, until the right buttons are pushed. THey can turn into fiercely wrathful entity capable of mowing through trees with their stone maces and clubs. Oftentimes they may choose to shape out of the rock a broadsword with serrated edges, efficient for ripping their quarry apart painfully. In spite of all their feral looks, Barlaken can be smart when it comes to tactics when mounting an attack. With their ability to tunnel through the earth, Barlaken can positoin themselves to be either right below their enemy or pop up right behind them and take them down.

     A traveler or daunting warrior can taunt a Barlaken into a fight by merely threatening the existence of their young and family whilst they are above ground walking. Loud noises, and menacing gestures with drawn weapons or curled up fists could provoke one of these behemoths to attack first.
